Martial artists, as a rule, don’t spend enough time on prevention, positive self-defense habits, and mindsetting. Click here, or the photo on the right, to take a short self-defense quiz. Then change behavior patterns in accordance with your answers. It ain’t complicated. Nothing fancy, just twelve short questions, but it’s a nice place to start..

Here’s another question: what is “martial fitness?” How about this definition: “activities that promote survivability in the event of a violent attack.” When putting together your training program, consider the degree to which the activities you are practicing are going to make you harder to kill.

Glen Allen Day Wrap-up

On Saturday 9/19 we once again tabled at this fun, family-friend event. Dozens of cool food and craft vendors, live music, community service oriented booths, and so on. The weather was just about perfect.

We had two new sign-ups and a ton of interest in the club. We even had a few organizations ask if we were interested in doing some prevention classes for their constituents, to which we replied, “You bet!”

And we tried something new this year: a live broadcast of self-defense tips right from the venue. See video above left.

Or even better, go to church. The old-timers did, and it’s their steps we’re following in, right? So put on a collared shirt and saddle up.

In other news, the new t-shirts are in. If you want to make a donation to the charity, we can definitely get you one! Just click here.
